Great food, and friendly staff.

We were traveling through on a road trip and booked Carter House for 1 night. We didn’t know what to expect from the town itself but we are glad we booked this hotel. We liked the staff, the restaurant (food was excellent) and the adjacency to the historic Victorian homes.

Liked the beauty of the building and location.

Parking was easily accessible. Very spacious room!

Great breakfast

Everything was great: friendly service, rooms and spaces with character (but modern), wonderful breakfast, comfortable bed, and nice soaps and provisions. Great recommendations on travel routes and lunch spots. Cannot beat this in Eureka, especially at the price. Bravo!

Comfortable, location, breakfast, friendly staff.

Quaint and super chic with great staff, bar and restaurant. Only drawback is out at alley there are too many shady characters.

Everyone on the staff was super friendly.. Our room was really comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing! ( Very fresh and lots of variety). Plus the location was very convenient.

The grand suite corner room was an unexpected delight, spacious and extremely comfortable. Top-notch linens, loved the basket of goodies, double headed shower, (didn’t use the Jacuzzi tub), and very quiet. Didn’t have dinner here, but there is a great bar and bartender, also breakfast was excellent. Nice area for a short walk in the historical part of town, walked to dinner (sadly, they were out of oysters), 2 EV chargers, and lots of information about the surrounding area and attractions. Knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff.

This hotel is amazing. Beautiful reception area with an amazing breakfast offering. Eggs, chia overnight oats, banana bread etc. - it was all delicious. Options to buy chocolate in the room were great, given it was a good price and good chocolate to enjoy. Complimentary wine for our visit in the room at the end of the day was a nice touch! The staff was very friendly. Nearby, you have the downtown area with beautiful architecture.

We enjoyed the charm of the inn for the same price as the chain hotels. Front desk staff was very friendly and had excellent restaurant recommendations for us. Complimentary wine in the evening and good breakfast in the morning for the same price as a non breakfast chain hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room beautiful and very clean. Great location to town and easy access to bars and restaurants in the old town. The free welcome drink in the pretty bar area and breakfast a great touch. Plus no extra cost to park the car.

Very comfortable and great breakfast

This is an adorable property, in a town that you would not expect excellent lodging. He did not have my reservation when I checked in, but Ian made sure we got a room and he even upgraded us. The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend this place a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was wonderful.

The location is great to hear the ocean outside your window, and there are a lot of great accommodations and options for guests to have a glass of wine or tea, complimentary breakfast and snacks in the room.
